what are some decent first date places in LA? I need some ideas, at first i was thinking disneyland but that may be too much for a first date.

i know this isnt the right place to ask but i thought id give it a try.

There's a bunch of threads like this in the Vaginarium. They recommend doing something active like miniature golf. That seems a little lame to me, but the point is you do something where you can talk and get comfortable with each other. Something like snowboarding or wakeboarding (if you have a boat) I think would be more fun for a first date. For the same reason, things like the movies or a comedy club are NOT recommended for a first date.

Yesterday I took a girl shopping (For a friends 21st present) and had coffee with her, kinda like a first date.. seemed to go quite well :dunno: She's now going to come to that party with me too :o
Being able to converse is key for a first date

i think the griffith observatory would be good for a date.. but i thought that the first date i had a month ago was good too. he took me to get pinkberry, looked through a boutique, then went to a park to stargaze

well it also depends on the girl. If shes entirely not open to the idea or even the concept of art galleries, then its a fail.

I planned mine, but played it off (most awesomely, I might add) that it was a spontaneous idea :p

Are you in SD or LA though? I'm assuming LA since you're looking for places in the area, but your profile says SD...

the 91 is a terrible freeway. make plans for a saturday. you don't wanna be driving during rush hour. the only thing i can think of near riverside are the local ski resorts: big bear or mountain high. not quite snow season yet though, so i guess you'll have to drive out to LA or OC.

Some places for shopping/eating/strolling that jump to mind are Farmer's Market in LA, Universal City Walk in Hollywood, and 3rd St in Santa Monica. There's a good chance she's been to a couple of these if she's from around here though and might not be too interested. All 3 of those places have street performers and places to eat and hang out though, so if any of those appeal to her you might want to consider them.

There's a Melting Pot in L.A., isn't there? Dates always seem to be awesome there. I guess you can't go wrong with such activity-based eating :mamoru:

You're missing out. Especially when she's dressed all cute in her sweater and you hit up a dessert restaurant for sweets and coffee afterwards.
