i work for a small financial company and we have a department that calls leads and gets customers. Now here is the database question: How would I go about setting up a database where I could import an Excel file with leads (name, address, phone #......) into the database and then the people who call the leads could have one record at a time show up on their workstation, call the lead and then enter the result of the conversation back into the database and go on to the next record?
    any help will be appreciated.

there is a bundle of marketing/sales software out there. The most popular seems to be either Goldmine or ACT. They should have import features as well.

how much coding is involved in making a database with either one of those?

none. When i setup ACT for one of my clients (while back), there was no programming involved... that's the whole point behind these CRM software packages...(ease of setup & use)
