I had a Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 installed on my old system as the slave until the time it crashed. Not only is it not recognized or noticed by windows, but easy recovery pro couldn't find it either. It is still under warranty and everything, but I would like to get my Pics/Movies/Songs off of it before sending it to them... (The pics/songs mostly)

It is QUITE noisy while hooked up.... :wtc:

Has anyone been successful in a more advanced way of data recovery? How much does it cost and will they hose me for having copywritten material on the drive? If someone on here could do it, that'd be even better, I will pay... :x:

Its been several years, but back then the pro shops charged about $1 a meg. It may have come down some.

You say the drive is quite noisy, are you implying that it is clicking - physically fucked up?
