anybody have any great, dark movie scores? i'm looking to get more and i'm not sure what to buy. something similar to the batman begins score, interview with the vampire, constantine, etc. i don't want soundtracks of hit songs that were in a movie. rather, i want music composed by a particular composer.

Pretty much anything by Danny Elfman (Spelling?) .. He did most of Tim Burton's films, and their amazing. I was surpised this hadn't been mentioned yet. Here is a few of the scores Elfman did:

    Batman/Batman Returns
    Beatlejuice
    Edward Sissorhands
    Spiderman/Spiderman 2

    ect.

Bernard Herrman - "Psycho", "North By Northwest"
(this is the guy that wrote the whistling theme the one eyed nurse whistles in "Kill Bill Vol. 1)

    1989 Batman - Danny Elfman
Theme to the Incredible Hulk TV show
A lot of people love the theme to Somewhere In Time. It's very popular and shouldn't be too hard to find.
