Anyone have dark colors in their room-- bed, walls, furniture, sheets, etc? Please post pics.

Who has black sheets or a comforter?

I want to paint my room like an Abercrombie & Fitch store - Dark blue ceiling, light grey walls, white molding - with Hastens bedding.

Only problem is my furniture is black. I need to paint/stain it brown, if thats even possible.

my walls are a blueish gray as well. my duvet is black/gray plaid, and all my furniture (desk, two bookcases, dresser, mirror, and chair) are all black. also have a dark gray ceiling fan. I'm buying new sheets soon, and they'll be black

I try to lighten things up a bit with green around the room.

no pics though, cam no worky atm

sand it. to bare wood then re-stain. it'd probably be easier to buy new stuff though.

Used to have 2 deep ruby red walls and two dark gold walls, warm wood grain floors with ruby red duvet with dark gold egyptian cotton sheets. They were not shiny, but they were so smooth, they kind of had a smooth sheen. Hard to describe, but it was fucking

Why would brown furniture work better with that color scheme than black furniture?

i dunno. maybe it wouldnt. i just figured black would be too close to dark blue and look weird. maybe not though.

Well, you might as well try the black before going through the trouble of painting.
