Anyone played the demo off psn? Its freaking awesome. This game hasnt really been on my radar until the last two weeks.

Looks like a bad ass god of war style of game. Anyone else amped up to rock this title as well? Demo even had some titty action along with taking over a beast and using him to pummel my foes.

Been looking forward to it since I first heard about it last summer. It's a total rip-off of GoW that completely rapes and spits on the source material, but I love hack-and-slash button-mashers and the way they are designing the levels looks pretty twisted.

Demo was fun. Complete GOW rip off, right down to the colored fountains, but like GOW the atmosphere is great. Combat system is fun too, different weight than Kratos' chains so at least that is different.

Depending on how it shapes up I would definitely buy it.

PS3 version has some crazy collectors edition too for the same price as the normal and the 360 isn't getting it.

As far as the rip off, yeah it is. I noticed the colored fountains too.

But, since GOW isnt coming out for some time, this will tide me over. Plus it sounds great in 7.1 with a new subwoofer i got the other day.

Cant wait to play the full.

hahaha GOW rip off. It's so sad... the colored fountains, to even using the same style of opening doors, etc.

You can even grab enemies the way Kratos would.... and even leaping into the air looks similar.

I got sick of the idea of EA banking off of gamers by stealing another company's ideas so I couldn't finish the demo.

Bayonetta is a lot of fun. Really stylish. I'd rather have more of these and see where they take the genre than more FPS.

devil may cry ripped off Dante's inferno the book:rofl:

well atleast with the names. Dante's inferno the game is not even remotely close to the book other than the 9 levels of hell. In the book dante is the biggest pussy known to man, he's a badass in the game.

still though, devil may cry 3 beats all these games.

3 was awesome. I'm playing 4 now and it kicks ass, but it's hard as hell. I'm on mission 10 and can't beat Dante. That fucker's fast.

Never read the book, but since DMC1 I think the name Dante should be reserved for just him :o

I wish my ps2 worked, I'd play the first three again. The PC version of 3 is all fucked up, someone was drunk when they set up the controls for it. The right joystick moves your character :ugh: (360 controller) almost impossible to change the controls too

Haha I just played it...yes it is a stolen God of War blue print in every aspect, shame on EA.

The thing thats wierd about this game is the graphics. At some points they look amazing and sometimes they look last gen.

EA is known for dipping its fingers into proven markets.

A really good example is with EA MMA. They initially declined to collaborate with the UFC; however, once sales numbers were released for Undisputed, all jokes about MMA not being a real sport were never mentioned again by EA.

I mean, sure, create a "GOW style" game and evolve it or make it different on many aspects. But don't fucking rip it right off.

EA can eat shit and die.

Finding this to be more fun that GoW. Crusades and Hell is more fun to me than greek mythology.

Id like GoW better, im actaully in the middle of playing it for the first time. The Dante demo didnt seem to offer anything new and GoW seems to have a smoother movement and melee system.
I didnt see any puzzles or obstacle courses in Dantes...but GoW has a great mix when it comes to that
As for the story, It seems like theres more depth to the GoW story as far as characters. The gods, the titans, Kratos, the spartans and all the greek mythological creatures tie in very well. I wasnt really drawn into the Dantes story from the demo. Maybe ill have to play more into it.

Yep, I felt the same way. Dante's Inferno took bits and pieces from The Divine Comedy and turned into an excuse for excessive violence and boobage in a game. I also find Greek mythology more interesting... guess it's a personal preference. I did have fun while playing the Dante's Inferno demo though. I just prefer GoW. Didn't notice any puzzles in the demo though, if it's purely combat that would be kind of lame.

Think that's the one big difference between the two, although I think it's intentional rather than a design flaw. Dante's scythe has a different momentum to it. I end up planning my attacks more than GOW since it takes awhile for that blade to come around and some of the moves have a charge up.

Well, you are basing your entire opinion on the game based on a demo. Let's wait for some reviews first, how 'bout. I thought the shot of the side of the church falling into Hell was brilliant. I hope there is a lot of subtle commentary on religion in this game.
