I'm interested in the original DG series; I bought the first issue, and the stupid shop forgot to toss in the 2nd issue for my pull when it came out, and it subsequently sold out. So I dropped it since it's easy at #1. But I always wondered how it turned out.

And I've always wondered what "Battlechasers" by Joe Mad was like; it has some sort of cult following.

Much like that other series...with the big breasted gal...Battle Chasers. Nearly forgot the name because it hasn't been put out in a while. Or am I thinking of Joe Mad. Regardless, his schedule of putting out books is outstanding! [/sarcasm]

Which is why I am dreading him coming to Ultimates. If he's going to keep a schedule, he's going to have to stop playing those video games. But by the time Ultimates 2 wraps up, he'll probably be engrossed in the PS3 :noes:

Campbell or Mad? I like them both but they have both shown that they aren't men who keep on schedule.

Mad's style should prove to be a little different after his stint on video games. After all, everyone from that group has evolved their style somewhat. Chris Bachalo changed drastically. Campbell's art is more abstract, but not noticeably much. Mad's sketches of the Ultimates seem more...tame. I like it though. He just needs to get married so he can have a daily schedule around his ball and chain.

edit: it's Mad that's doing Ultimates with Loeb. After that, Ultimates vol 4 will be done by McGuinness and Loeb.
