    Hello,

So i have been looking into buying my first 1911. I have read some reviews that have pointed me towards the Pointman Seven. I want a good out of the box gun. I'm not really the type then spends lots of time and money fiddling and upgrading stuff. So is the Pointman Seven a good SS full size 1911 and I should by that is there a better one out there. I am looking to spend less then $1200.

Valor crew signing in. It's my first 1911 and I was looking for a full size in black and this one fit the bill. I bought it for $1250 OTD in January.

Also i really would like night sights instead of adjustable how hard do you think it would be to get that done. So the PM7 is a good choice? Some guy told me to get a Les Baer. What really justifies the giant cost increase?

The Heritage model has fixed sights with a tritium dot in the front.

Wesson is an excellent choice, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The fit and finish is on par with guns that cost far more.

The offerings from Les Baer are excellent also. If your budget is $1,200, you won't get a new one, or probably even a used one, for that.

I've got almost 40k rounds through my Dan Wesson PM7. I always bring it with me for practice sessions.

Anyhow, I have made a few modifications, but NOT because it would not run. It is the most reliable handgun I own rite now, and I own a few handguns. She LOVES to race and compete.

I think they're different cuts so i'd send it off to a smith. Dave Severns on 1911 forums does a lot of Dan Wesson stuff.

    I own a PM7. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a 1911.
