return the enclosure for a firewire one. However, I think that board should have 2 USB ports on a header at the bottom of the board (you need to use a bracket to get to em).

The NF7-S *does* support USB 2.0, I have one myself that I bought a few months ago. Maybe you have an older revision? It has two USB ports on the motherboard itself AND a pci bracket for 2 more and firewire.

Firewire and USB 1.1 came out relatively at the same time, so its possible for a motherboard to have that combo.

Do you have SP2 installed? try going to your device drivers area and right click on your USB and click update driver :dunno: i know that is how most of the computers i work with are able to get USB 2.0 support

I know rev 2.0 does anyways, thats the one I got, and I got that about a year ago next month

make sure it's plugged in properly on the mobo

well look in the box, did you get the PCI metal slot thing with 4 ends? 2 red and 2 blue?

plug those in and it has USB2 on the back there along with firewire

Yes NF7-s supports USB 2.0 on all revisions. And I think all the ports built on the board are USB 2.0 ports.

I'd just like to re-emphasize the point that you need to install SP2 for it to support USB 2.0.

If you don't like SP2, which I know some people don't, then just use SP1. It also supports USB 2.0.
