i called up adidas and they said that the shoe was stored in a warehouse that was shut down after being raided by the feds. they seized all the assets inside, including the shoes I bought. something happening with the glue in the heat after the feds turned the air off. i tried to get my money back but no dice.

I picked up a pair of New Balance shoes for ~$40, the only ones I've ever found that are wide enough for my feet to fit in comfortably.

I don't understand how they wouldn't refund you money. It wasn't your fault at all that they fell apart, it happened on their end.

Good running shoes are worth their weight in gold :o I always replaced mine every three months/500 miles or if I started to feel achey for no good reason.

Let's say you run in them 200 times before they fall apart. That's $.50 per run, which ain't shit. That's how much it costs to park at a meter in SF for 12 minutes.

When I was running a lot I bought a good pair of Brooks running shoes... worth every penny. If you're gonna run, do it right.

But also be prepared to do it frequently... if youre pavement pounding on a regular basis, you'll piss through arches and running shoes.

    Still worth it though IMO

I used to run in New Balance but recently went to a running store and bought some Asics. I like the Asics, they felt great during the last 5k I did but they are noticeably heavier then any New Balance running shoe I have worn.
