Already have a couple Bushmasters, but for some reason I want one those new KelTec SU16C "Charlie" models.

    5.56mm
    4.7lbs unloaded
    16" barrel
    25.5" folded
    35.5" overall length
    uses M-16 mags

The muzzle is even threaded for 1/2x28 so you can use AR muzzle brakes, etc.

Already ordered my Socom16, but considering you can get this for around $500. Damnit, I guess that means I'll have 2 new toys coming in :mamoru:

:werd: I don't think I've heard anything really negative about them, but they just feel really flimsy to me, especially with the forend in the bipod postion.

the normal SU16 isn't the most solid feeling rifle, but it's expected for $500.

This is cheap enough I could live without the premium feeling, I got my AR15s and M1A for that.

I feel guilty when I take my ARs out into the field and get them dirty :o This rifle would solve that problem.

I'd rather buy a Savage bolt action for $500 :o

and Yes, I know it's not an equal comparison :hs:

for our Kalifornian friends, this is a Ca legal .223
would make a very nice truck gun though. Out here it would be a pretty nice little coyote/prairie dog hunter. (course for 150 more you could get an Olympic AR15)

damn, thought this one was. The orginal SU-16 and the SU-16B are legal though. Must be the new design of the folding stock on the C model.

Just checked Kel Tec's site. It can fire with the stock folded, so yep, No gun for you Kali.

The expected MSRP for it is not 500 though. Its 840

I wouldn't say that. The P11/P32/P3AT is carried by many LEOs as a backup weapon/off duty. I have carried either a P11 or P3AT for years and even though they run about 200 bucks, they have both had over 2000 rounds with only 1 FTF due to a bad primer thanks to PMC ammo.

    ok.... that was a mistake

held one today and after learning what the actual price was, FUCK THAT.

even if it was sub $500, it still wouldn't have been worth it. The thing felt like it would blow up in your hands.

Time to revisit the CX4 Storm.
