damn autoplay menu!

    how do u change the windows xp autoplay function? like the screen that pops up when you pop in a cd?

    run > gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Turn Off AutoPlay (right side by the bottom) > enable

    now either choose CD-ROM drives or All Drives. your choice :)

    gpedit.msc dont work for me.

    and i think they are talkign about how to change the options inside of the autoplay.

    what do you mean the options of autoplay? I thought he was talking about not getting that damn menu whenever you pop a CD in :confused:

    Whenever you pop in a CD, it pops up a menu. It lets you pick what you wanna do. Play it, burn it, etc etc

    yeah, I know. I went into the Computer Policy and enabled TurnOffAutoPlay and checked all drives. I don't get that menu whenever I put a CD in

    i want know how to change it, take stuff out and put stuff into it, not disable it.
