In the midst of my 10 day wait on my lower. Ordered a 16" midlength kit that shipped out today. Sent payment on an airforce .22lr conversion today. Got my bullet button so my rifle isn't a ticket to pound me in the ass prison and a mag the other day. I don't want to wait anymore!

    $100 for used airforce conversion

    versus

$550 for spike dedicated upper that I'll have to wait several months for

who am I kidding, I'll probably end up with one eventually, but I got a new toy, and I want to be able to afford to shoot it now!

yah, was able to get the other one he had. Good thing I had you jump on it, and someone sent him a message not that long after.

Not worry about SB23 would indeed be nice, but I'll probably keep the bullet button on while shooting .22lr, simply so I don't have to put it back on to shoot .223.

I intentionally had a compensator installed on the barrel instead of a flash hider so that I can use the same upper in a featureless build should I start doing 3 gun competitions, so I can drop the magazines.

Just curious. What is a bullet button?

  12. In the People's Republic of California they are restricted depending on the evil features their guns have. One way to get around stuff is to use a bullet button. This replaces the mag release button with a recessed button that can't be manipulated by hand, you need a tool... like a bullet... to operate the mag release. This makes everyone in the PRC safer.

    :werd:

if your centerfire rifle has a flash hider, pistol grip, adjustable stock AND removable magazine, it's an illegal assault weapon (unless you registered it prior to 12/31/99).

the bullet button creates an ATTACHABLE magazine that must be detached with the use of a tool.

Sad it has come to that.

Still, in a way it's a cool middle finger from the evil black rifle owners to the legislators in California :).

They should make a tool in the shape of a middle finger and sell it in Cali.

they'd probably determine that by being shaped like a body part, it's not a tool but a prosthetic appendage, and as such, doesn't apply

ar upper and such is in the mail, but won't be here until friday :(

not sure... we should certainly schedule one for some time this summer though.

Make a day of it out at chabot, bbq up some food for lunch, etc.
