How much are you guys giving for ammo these days? My local Wal Marts stay out of stock. I've called everyday for the last couple of weeks with no luck. My only other options are mail order or Gander Mtn. Gander has an ok stock, but they are higher.

.40 FMJ (all are + tax):
    WWB 100 rd = $50
    Blazer Brass 50 rd = $22
    Speer Lawman 50 rd = $20
    American Eagle 50 rd = $20

At these prices, would it really be that much cheaper to order...considering the price for shipping? Especially if i'm not ordering in bulk? I can only afford 3-4 boxes at a time at most. And of those options, which would be the preferred? I've only ever shot WWB, but i'm not paying that much for it.

American eagle 45acp was 16 bucks for 50 last time I bought it locally.
    XM193F was 209 a case of 500.

  3. I just ordered 1000 rounds of .40 from Palmetto State for $312 shipped.

What about a choice between Lawman, AE, or Blazer Brass?

I've always liked AE in 45acp and 9mm.

Proper thing to do is ask then what time they get there shipments and what time they stock. Each one is different. One around here stocks it at 7-8pm and the other at 7-8am (this one gets their shipment overnight).

Got a Dick's Sporting Goods nearby? The ones around here have ammo in stock at pretty much the same prices as last fall. Best prices are the sales the run on Remington UMC plinking ammo.

Closest thing would be Bass Pro in Shreveport...around an hour away.
