    Both.

I have a built 10/22 and not only a dedicated .22 AR upper, but a complete rifle built around it. I'd hate to choose between them as they are both a lot of fun to shoot and serve their own purpose.

One reason why Im leaning towards AR upper is 11.5" Upper 22 and 11.5" upper 223  and one tax stamp :o

if you have an ar already just buy a dedicated bolt/upper.

if not i'd rather have a .22 ar

personally I like the ar drop in conversion kit, I haul enough crap to the range already so its size is a huge plus.

I like the conversion kit too except for the fact that you can't shoot .223 at most indoor ranges so there's no way to clean out the gas system after shooting a bunch of .22
