Damaged Shoulder

  1. I see my primary care doctor on Monday. I recently damaged my shoulder while doing push-ups. I made a critical error, which is rare when I train. I stretched out before my training, but forgot to stretch out my shoulders. Of course the result was injury.

The joint hurts from within, and beneath the muscle groups. I believe I might have damaged the joint itself. When I move my arm in specific spatial movements, it only hurts when I lift my arm up, and when I turn my arm down as if I'm putting my hands behind my back. What are some suggestions aside from resting that may help me to improve the chances of recovering fully?

I will speak with my doctor, and if necessary see an Orthopedic specialist. My other shoulder has a damaged rotor cuff which requires surgery, so it may not be such a bad idea to kill two birds with one stone.

    Suggestions?

it sounds like a rotator cuff, youll prolly just have to do some rehab to make it work again and then it will be one of those chronic nagging injuries.

  3. It does sound like that's what happened. It sure does feel similar. I hope that isn't the case. I'll get it taken care of as soon as possible though.

Might be AC joint arthrosis. Get an x-ray.
