What should I be shooting for? I think i'm seeing between 750-1000mg sodium every day. Is this bad?
whats the deal with that? i saw the jim wendler bloat thing u posted... why is it a good thing to be all bloated before a PLing meet?
tighter gear and more leverage
Wow. I'm way under that. Interesting.
So sodium = bloating? So basically it because water weight? I have a terrible time gaining water weight/dead weight/fat weight. Perhaps my sodium intake isnt high enough? (i never eat salt)
Why do you want to hold water weight ?
It's pretty simple : bunch of sugary junk food (desserts and such), lots of creatine and a bunch of salt (which can come from shit food too!!).
So i can gain some fucking weight!!!!!
I'm 6'2 160-165lbs!!!!! I work my ass off in the gym 5 days a week, and yes i'm getting bigger, but that is slow. My metabolism is simply too fast.. Eating like a horse just doesnt do it for me. (maybe i'm not eating badly enough??)
You want to put on MUSCLE not WATER. And you're probably not eating like a horse.
I take in a lot of Sodium, but i drink a lot of water...
I keep mine below 1800mg/day
Heart problems in my family
I don't really keep track.
When my diet is "spot-on" it is probably pretty low since I cook most meals, add only a little salt, and most everything is natural/fresh.
However, sometimes I will get busy and for weeks at a time eat at least one meal a day at a restaurant and during those times it is probably really high.
There are heart problems in my family, so I should probably pay more attention to it, but I am only 21. I figure ~ 30 y/o I will get really strict with watching my intake.
