What do you do on a day to day basis as a Marine Rifleman?
PM Accord, I bet he knows, because I'm pretty sure he's already asked this question.
They sit around all day trying to come up with some witty degrading comments about the Army. Last week one grunt came up with "Army sucks balls". This was just an addition to the normal comment "Army sucks". This particular Marine was later rewarded for his thinking outside the box with a promotion.
wake up, shave, organized PT, shower, breakfast, training, clean weapons, lunch, PT, shower, touch up high and tight, laundry, sleep
It greatly depends.
Depends, usual day if not in the field goes as such.
Shave, and morning cleanup till 0600
Morning formation then PT till 0730, usually minimum 3mile run with pushups, pullups and crunches.
0730-0800-08300 shower, breakfast
0830-0900 formation to pass word on what will happen today.
0900-1100 Usually either classes covering all your infantry knowledge examples: Infantry patrolling, detainee handling, personell searches, searching vehicles, weapons assembly/dissasembly, nomenclature, ranges and rates of fire, these are just off the top of my head. there are many many more. Or you will do weaponse maintance for hours on end.
1300-15-1600 more of what you did before lunch, plus a lot of waiting around to get off work.
Or you will be put on a working party to do some stupid shit that a Gunny or SSgt thinks needs to be done.
yeah, 0311's have a world of their own...
