i found the video, its already on youtube
No joke, I covered my face up a bit while watching that video
tumbles should watch this..
I had a friend in HS who was benching 225 and had one of the dumbest fuckin black guys I know (he also smelled like ass all the time) spot him and I'm not exactly sure what happen but he dropped that shit on his face and knocked both of his front teeth out, blood everywhere. He got up and had to sit back down because he felt so light headed. Had to call an ambulance.
fuck i shouldn't have watched that, thanks.
Benching with suicide grip helps my tendonitis
made my balls shrivel up to the size of a dime
thumbless grip is fine
yah i see a few people every week "LOOK MA NO THUMBS" and i'm scared for them every time. i did it on my warm-up set and holy shit not a good thing.
some of the heaviest benchers in the world bench w/no thumbs
pro > noobs
they dont call it suicide grip for nothing
omg guys no wai tell me more
bench with my thumbs on the bar but with a tight grip...after learning that its unsafe ive been trying to get used to a full grip now that ive hit 265 max i dont want to get my cappa detated
I like suicide grip better, feels more natural, but after last time someone posted one of those vids i decided full grip it is.
first thought: yeah but i have it under control and a tight grip when i do it.
second thought: i'm sure he felt the exact same way up until about .001 seconds before 225 pounds came crashing down across his face and chest.
I'll just use normal grip, thanks.
no joke man, i gasped pretty loudly and grabbed my desk
not watching the vid
I dropped the bar on my face in high school. it landed right between my chin and my lower lip... it fully embedded my two front teeth into my lower lip
lucky, it could have knocked my entire lower row out
no thumbs is fucking retarded for your safety
damn feel bad for the guy. i use it just for close grip bench presses, but that's only like a plate each side.
whats the point of gripping it like that? seems like an awesome way to have what I just watched happen.
