Ok. Who is going to see this? Do you think there will be protests outside theaters?

I liked the book and I will see it. But what the hell happened to Tom Hanks' hair?

:) I know what you mean. It does change his character, though.
Do you think there will be protests outside the theaters?

I think his hair is like that to sort of change himself out of Tom Hanks and into Robert.

Thanks for reminding me. I haven't read that one! Better, huh? I'll read it, but why is it better?

Personally, i think that the davnici code is pretty crappy. It took me one afternoon to read the whole book. The idea that a conspiracy has been hidden for hudreds of years in historically recognized artworks etc. is just ridiculous. It makes a mockery of all of those great artists, inventors and religous leaders that existed before us. I can not believe that hollywood would waste their time making this into a movie. It is not a work of scholarly literature. Dan Brown may have done alot of research before writing the DaVinci Code, but he sure has no respect for the past.

I think the idea that the artworks were used for hidden messages might have been the best way to do it in those days. The message is right out in the open - and no one really sees it. I've often heard the comment, What is the Mona Lisa's smile about? It isn't really clear if you actually see it.

It is a fictional story made for entertainment purposes and it served it purpose, it was entertaining. If you look at it anything more than you are putting way too much into it.

Anyway, I am very much looking forward to it because it was a great book and Tom Hanks is an excellent actor.

Tom Hanks haired changed because he is playing a role and isnt Tom Hanks he is Robert Langdon, do you expect him to look the same in every movie?

I'm sure I'll go see it. And I'd expect there to be some people protesting, there will always be a group that will protest anything.

digital fortress and angels and demons were both better books i thought. the fact taht davinci code is so huge right now sort of proves that anything the religeous right goes ape shit about will without fail become famous and rich. seriously do they understand that starting a bunch of shit over this book is what made it so popular?

oh well, good book, hated the ending but overall it was still good and i can't wait to see silas on screen.

I liked all three but A&D was the best. Digital Fortess was a good book along with TDC. Cant wait to see it tomarrow.

this movie sucked. they left out so much and WTF only one cryptex. there was one inside another in the book. i was VERY dissapointed. and they dont explain SHIT in the movie like they did in the book. this story was meant to be told in writing not on the big screen

People expect so much out of a movie that came from a book. Christ people not every detail is gonna be in it. From what I remember it was a good movie that for the most part that would allow got it right. Yeah something were left out, and some things not explained well but for the most part it was pretty good.

This book is made for entertainment only, not like he is trying to prove anything other than that he is good at writing.

The screenwriter for DaVinci Code just signed up to do the screenplay for Angels & Demons.
(I prefered the Angels & Demons book too.) I even took the Angels & Demons tour in Rome.

I am going to see DaVinci code tonight.
