I found a d80 on craigslist with the standard zoom 18-135 for 525 dollars, owner says it is in "new" condition with boxes, cords, battery and memory card (didnt specify which format) for $525
is this a pretty solid deal, it is my first dslr and is a relatively substantial amount of money for me as i am in college, but this seems like a deal that is not worth passing up.
let me know so i can get back to him asap, thanks a lot.

I sold my d80 and 18-135 for 550, so that's a great deal imo. All depends on the actuations on the shutter.

various EXIF reader applications can usually show the shutter actuations

Sounds like a great deal, depending on actuations. Thoroughly look over the body and lens and shoot with it before buying it.
