Where do they get D700 from :dunno:

I guess this is the same rumor as the D10 :o

If the price quoted in that thread is right... It's going to be way out of my price range :hsd:

well that makes my decision final then, instead of buying a 17-55 ill eventually buy a 24-70 so most of my lenses will be ready to make the FF move in a couple of years.

I'm staying away from DX lenses for that reason. I know when Nikon goes FF on the bigger cameras, not mant will be getting the DXs.

Dxs will always have their place, its not like the d300 isn't an absolute fantastic camera. And what I love about nikon is you can still use the dx lenses in FF format.

I just want a reall high megapixel full frame monster :big grin: Can you imagine the response if I tell my clients my camera is 20+ megapixels..sure as hell can charge them more for that stupidity.

Don't get me wrong, I love my D300. And its awesome that Dx lenses can work with Fx cameras. I just would rather have regular lens when even the D300 becomes oudated like the D200 and older models. Bodies are disposable, lenses aren't as much. :big grin:

The tamron 90mm will work on ff bodies, right?

If so, The only dx lens I have is the 18-70 kit lens, and I don't use that anyway....

    Hmmmm...

Girth, send me that chloroform when you're done with it?

Looks like it'll be the d3 in a d300 body. It probably won't shoot as fast thoough.

I'm also going to start buying FF lenses only.

I currently have two lenses that are DX only... Sigma 10-20mm and the 18-55 kit lens that came with my D50.

I'm looking at getting the Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 next.

I also need to decide on a sigma/tamron 24/28-70(ish) range.

Don't waste your money on the sigma 24-70 f/2.8... If you want, wait until I'm ready to buy my nikon version of the same lens and I'll sell you mine cheap. Great lens, a little too soft wide open.

I gave away my 18-135 DX lens to my friend when I bought my sigma 18-200. I think that's a cropped frame formatted lens too... but I rarely use it, so it can stay in my bag.

If its $2500 and below, I'd sell my D80 + 18-200 to cover some costs on it. If its over $2900 like mentioned, I wouldn't be past selling my D300 to get it. All depends. :dunno:

This would be awesome news since the used d300 market would be great.
