Finally had a chance today to go out and play for about 15 minutes before the rain started coming down. I was inspired by a local photog who does a lot of b&w "fine art" type stuff, and I wanted to give it a try. definitely not my normal style but I was pretty pleased with the results.

I am posting just about every picture I took.

    I dont get 4.

and I dislike the watermark font and the fact that it is 3 lines.

Love 'em man. The watermark does not bother me, but it's a bit much.

4 would be neat with clouds, a grey sky isn't very interesting :duno:

thanks, I was somewhat inspried by acab's tree shot (OTAP contest winner)

i was just trying to do something different

i like this watermark better than any of m other ones, but i'm still working on a really clean one

    thanks dude

yeah, I am not sure I would like it with clouds. i like the way it can be sorta abstract like this.

    Very nice shots.

I find it interesting you think #4 is the best. I think that's by far the weakest of the set.

Agreed. It leaves me wanting to see more of the tree.

    Nice shots though

I actually think #4 is the best.

If you look at it objectively it's fairly easy to imagine that it is not a tree ~ but something abstract.

I appreciate it for that reason.

    thanks
I'm not sure, i wouldn't say I think its the "best" photograph, but i think its unique, and it makes a badass desktop background:

i may play with the colors a bit in PS and see how it turns out with a different tone

    thank you

I agree, which is what i was going for when I took it, if you rotate it 180 degrees you can almost mistake them for roots ;)

i borrowed my friends spyder 2

I think they go for like 60-70 on amazon, but there also are some newer ones out, i'd recommend just borrowing one from a fellow photog, since its not something you need to do all that often.
