I got my 70-200 about a week and a half ago and I still haven't really shot anything with it. My friend is having a football game tomorrow and asked me to come out, I said yes since it'd be a nice way to get use out of it. Supposedly there might be some flurries, would you guys trust that set up or is weather-sealed not as good as it sounds?

the 70-200 should be able to handle some rain and snow.

I've shot with mine on a d200 in a complete downpour and it did no damage at all to either.

Awesome. They said flurries in the morning so its likely that it might be done by the time I get there but I wanted to make sure.

You'll be more than fine. D700 + 70-200 in pouring rain is fine, nevermind snow flurries.

the canon stuff that's weather sealed can be hosed off without hurting it. i'm not sure about nikon but i do know that they wouldnt bother advertising it if it weren't capable of being put through some abuse.
