I am looking into getting another lens for my d70. I was just wondering if someone could post a comparison as far as zoom goes between the two. Like a kit lens full zoom and a sigma full zoom so i can see the difference. The ritz camera people are goons here so its annoying going there to test em both out. Or if you got another recomendation for lens with some zoom. Gonna go shooting at the zoo in the next few days as well as some indoor sports shots at the suns game against the spurs thanks

Yeah, Sigma's only current 70-200mm lens is the f/2.8 EX HSM .

I will take some pictures with it using the D70, 18-70mm, 70-200mm and with the 1.4x EX Teleconverter and give you some ideas on physical size too =)

I'll try to get you a picture of what a 400mm f/2.8 looks like too.

    Btw, the 70-200mm with the 1.4x teleconverter gives you a max reach of 280mm @ f/4 .

On the D70, you will multiply that by 1.5 to get an effective focal length .

I have a Sigma EX 70-200mm f/2.8 HSM, Sigma EX 1.4x Teleconverter, and Sigma EX 77mm UV Filter that I'd like to sell together . This includes all original boxes, instructions and carrying cases included from Sigma .

PM me on price details, etc .

I'm going to try to post some pics tonight of size comparisons, and tomorrow I'll try to get some 'view' comparisons of the 18-70mm kit lens versus the 70-200mm with and without TC on a D70 . I'll also try to get a pic with a 400mm f/2.8 :x:

Here are some size comparisons of what the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 looks like on a D70 body compared to the 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 kit lens . The Sigma EX 1.4 Teleconverter is there too so you can get a better idea of size .

The lens hoods are on, and both lenses have front filters attached .

Oh yeah, I have black vinyl tape on some parts for the purpose of anti-bling .

(Note, the 70-200mm f/2.8 does have the tripod collar attached)
