    ISO 1600 on the D3 is like 200 on the D200/D80.

    actually the 1dsmk3 is $8000, 1dmk3 is only $4000, and i don't think either has the high iso performance that the D3 has

    The D3 has the ability to crop the sensor/viewfinder for lenses designed for the smaller DX sensor.

    I just saw some shots from a 1dmkIII shot at ISO 3200-6400 that looked just as good as these.
