Is there any way to remotely control and display the images from my d200 directly on the computer? I thought nikon capture does it, but i cannot figure it out for the life of me?

    wtf is that?

scene: I'm taking pictures for a new years party at my friends house, everyone is dressing up, and we got a sweet backdrop, it's just for fun, so i don't really care, but The way the d200 is set up, it's hard to see the pictures horizontal on the camera, i'd rather have my laptop on and maybe be even able to snap the pictures with it.

  5. don't know how many pins the d200 has but you can also use pocket wizzards to fire your camera wirelessly and i'm not sure but the pocket wizzards might have a further range. But nikon software is developed for nikon cameras (not aftermarket like pocketwizzards) so you will probably have more control over other things. :dunno:

There are other cables that are cheaper also, I can't find them but if you look i'm sure they're not hard to find. :hs:

It actually worked alot better than I thought it would, Camera control pro is fucking sweet, me and my friends basically threw this idea together in about 5 minutes for the new years party, I had to use his shitty best buy tripod though, which I was scared shitless of, but it worked out well, you can basically control absolutely everything from the computer, so people were able to see there images after they were taken and so on, All this done just with my SB-600 on a bracket I could have used some nice lights defintely but for what everyone wanted out of it, and all the drunk action this worked out perfect.

I strongly suggest this program to any nikon user. It also knows as you can see in the dashboard, the camera is rotated so when it stores the images to the computer, it rotates them already.

that looks sweet! $80 is a little much for my uses right now but I definitely see how it can be very beneficial.
