I've always used Photoshop for Raw Processing on my D70, And now since I've switched to the d200 I did some raw shots tonight. I tried Importing it into Photoshop and I get an error that says It "cannot import this Unrecognized file format"

I tried resetting the whole camera
    Tried turning on raw compression
Tried Shooting in sRGB vs AdobeRGB

Same thing, No different, I took a pic with the d70 on the same card, .NEF file too, and it loads just fine. I read through the manuals and shit about raw, and it doesent say anything different than normal.

What the fuck am I missing here? :hsughno:

I'm not really familiar... but I think there's an update for Photoshop that makes it work with D200 NEF files.

are you using CS2 with the RAW 3.3 or 3.4 plug-in? Adobe addes support for the D200 with the 3.3 update.

    Check here: www.http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html

You may find that the 3.4 plugin doesnt do your images justice. I have a D200 and I find that my images look much better when viewed and edited in Nikon Capture 4. There has been much discussion over in the Nikonians.org forums.

:ugh2: to yourself. Have you even tried Nikon Capture? :ugh:

    http://nikonimaging.com/global/products/software/capture4/

Try it out before you make stupid ass comments. :slap:

It's a lot better than Photoshop at handling RAWs in general, but also batch processing. It has _a lot_ more features that will help you get the RAW just the way you want it.
