    CZ Crew............. now joined. :)

    CZ Crew Members...

I want a CZ Compact pistol. Dealers here don't stock them so it'd have to be ordered so sadly I cannot go handle one before hand. I've handled a full size 75B but I know that I don't want a full size pistol.

    P06
    P01
    CZ 75 Compact

    What is your recommendation?

Doesn't matter what we think what works for me may not work for you, in the end you will have to shoot it. Unless you have money to burn I would definitely handle one before buying, otherwise it is a $500 crap shoot.

I have shot both, and they do not handle the same.

I'm falling into the money to burn category here, mainly because the dealers don't really stock anything CZ. Like I've said I've handled the full size 75 and it was quite comfortable but I do realize the other pistols will not be the same.

    Forgot one....

The PCR is a P-01 without the rail (give/take). The '75 compact (which I'm not even for sure is still made anymore) is literally a shortened '75, steel frame, manual safety and all.

I'll second AB and say that you might want to fondle one before you pull the trigger. I like the PCR, but just couldn't do the decocker (I'm not the only one in that camp, either). The old CZ compact would be cool (because of the manual safety), but I wanted an alloy frame. It's a wash either way.

I have an SP01 and a PCR (which is a compact) I've handeled some of their other compacts and they were all pretty similar to me. If you're really just buying one without playing with it first, at least pick the features you want (as in safety/no safety, decocker/no decocker, etc.)

I want the P-01 but I don't like the double action. NATO approved. :o

I have the p-01 and i love it, i'm up to about 800rnds w/o a single malfunction. I find it easy to point, comfortable to handle, and a great shot. I'd never handled a CZ prior to ordering, i'm glad it fit me well.

I love the double action to play devils advocate to johnson. Its a long pull for the double action stage, the single action is very very nice imo.

Cool Cool. You leaving it stock, or playing around with it?

They made a unknown number of compacts in the same format as yours, but with an alloy frame. They were imported by MRI a while ago, and are my holy grail of compact CZ's. I'd love to have one to build a full custom on.

I'd like to convert it to single action only and put some night sights on it.. That's about it.

Hells yeah. Snatch up the Angus comp hammer if you are converting to SAO. Easy to install, and makes the break lots lots better. That combined with the steel trigger will put you right into the thick of things.

Angus also has take off Mep's from SP-01's for sale too....

I don't have the camera/picture taking abilities of you guys, but these are my CZ's. Actually I couldn't find my camera so this is from the phone, haha. I've had the SP01 for years without one problem. The compact I got in March I believe.

Damn.... I need to get some of my guns back. The majority of my CZ's are not whole, and have been sent out for various things. Hopefully I'll have some cool shit to whore out somewhat soon.

AB.... As an aside - I like the hell outta your 1911's (though I dunno what the hell you are doing infecting a CZ thread with them ). So clean, and purposeful. Everything you need, and nothing you don't. I dig your style.
