I cycle here and there. Not as much as I used to though.

A strong core and strong triceps help a lot. It's a great low impact way to get some cardio in.

I lift 5 days a week and also bike about 5 days a week.

I mix it up between Mountain Biking and Road Biking. Mostly road though.

I just got into cycling this year. I cycle or go to spin class 5 times a week (spin class cause of wonderful New England weather). As a newbie I don't have a lot of advice. I find biking to be one form of cardio I don't dread at all. Make sure you get a correct fit on your bike, it makes it much easier to ride longer.

sweet, i'm gonna keep up with all of my lifting, i just needed something that won't kill my ankle like running... i got up to running about 6-7 miles a day, but torn ligament in my ankle=ouch.

awesome, i'll keep that in mind.

i just got a motobecane grand record.

    :coold:

so far i've gone on a couple rides. on the first one i fell over because i forgot to snap out of my pedals  didn't even draw blood, no big deal. i have so little faith in the thin little tire to support me when i'm turning :noes:

i had REI do a once-over when i assembled it (got it from bikes direct mostly assembled) since i didn't know jack about it before. he trued the wheels, adjusted the brakes, and just made sure nothing was horribly off. i sat inside yesterday for an hour just clipping in and out to make sure i don't panic and just try to pull up to get my foot out of the pedal. oh and, idiot that i am, my front wheel wasn't lined up with my handle bars. so now it's all good.

lemme know if you guys think of anything else that might help. getting plenty of water, still wearing tshirts tho, not really into wearing the jerseys, or buying them, for that matter. bike shorts=amazing

Trek 4400. I use it for both trail and road use.

i can't sit on my balls if i try... that's why the ball sack was invented. don't you have a ball sack?

try bike shorts. i love them and i don't mean the gay speedo kind. they make baggy style bike shorts.

I usually get in 3-4 20 mile rides a week in-between work, lifting, etc.
Great way to relax and if you're not being run off the road by idiot drivers it's a very pleasant way to work out and build strength.

I used to bike a lot, especially right after I got into college. Two years ago I got hit by a car that ran a stop sign at 35 MPH and since I've not had the desire I once did. I'm slowly getting back into it. It is really a lot of fun.
