I'm plaining on getting a carbine in 9mm and so far i think the cx4 is the best choice out there for so cheap. Has anyone shot it, is there anything else out there thats equal price, and my local gun shop sells it for $570 is that good?

$570 for a 9mm rifle is cheap? The kel-tec and hipoint carbines both have excellent reputations and will cost less than half as much.

Hipoint with ATI stock... cheaper and looks just about the same.

    I've got both a hi-point with the ATI stock & a beretta cx4 in 9mm.

Personally, I prefer the beretta. they're both good guns, I just like the fit / finish on my storm more than I do the hi-point (doesn't matter if I have the factory stock on for the hi-point or the ATI)

Get a Hi-point or a Kel-tec. There's no reason to spend the extra money. I think that the pathetic display by the Candian shooter with the CX4 last week should prove that pistol caliber carbines are fucking worthless for serious work.

    Are you kidding?

    The Baretta is FAR superior!

The Keltec sub2k shoots like shit! I have fired about 400 rounds out of one and its pure junk! The best thing about it is the magazine!

As for the hipoint.. Its no where near the caliber of the CX4

    Yep.
RX4 doesnt appeal to me, going to be about the same price as an AR and probably no high cap mags for it.

I don't understand why there is so much hate for the CX4... I have one and I love it. At first I was looking at the Hi-Point but it just felt shitty in my hands. I didn't like the looks nor did I enjoy holding it or anything. Yea, and now I guess you can buy a storm clone frame for it, but seriously. So I went back to my computer and researched even more which led me to the CX4. I fell in love with this bad boy in about two seconds.

I got the .45ACP version, and here's my impression...
wickedly accurate, it's quick to point, easy to manipulate, and just plain fun. This fits very well in my hands, is light, easy to clean, hasn't once jammed or anything on me. This has top and side rails, as well as a rail built in under the barrel that can be retracted for your surefire light or what have you.

Hell, why should you buy a BMW when you can get a Kia Rio? They both have wheels, am I rite?

You missed my point . Better quality or not it's still a pistol caliber carbine. It's a fun plinker but I wouldn't count on it for much more than that. Save the handgun rounds for the handguns and spend your money on a rifle.
