    Hey all,
I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up a CX4 as an Xmas present to myself. Budsguns had a sale on them a while back for ~$500 but now I can't find one for under $750.

Anyone know where I can get one for around $500? :x:

Good thing I'm looking at the 9mm which holds 20 rounds.

This gun will not serve as a home defense, trunk, or service weapon. I plan to buy it simply because I like the way it handles and want something more than .22LR to blow water jugs up with that's also cheaper than my AR to shoot. So spare me all the chair-force-tacticool comments cuz I don't really care. :fawkd:

Anyone know where I can get one around $5-600?

What about a 9mm upper and mag block for your AR? That'd probably be in your price range. Plus 32rnd mags are only like $15.

I know it's not what you asked for but I think all of the Storms have been hit by the price increase and are probably going to be around $700.

I want something with a short OAL. I like 9mm AR's when they are SBR'ed. Unfortunately my residency is in IL for a while which rules that out. :( So my choices are limited to bullpups.

The main choices would be the FS2000, MSAR, PS90, HiPoint, and CX4. The FS2000 and MSAR cost close to $2k, the PS90 is $1200 and uses expensive and relatively weak 5.7 ammo, the HiPoint I held felt cheap and heavy. This just leaves the CX4, which felt great.

But while were on the subject of 9mm AR's, how does the mag block work? Does it permanently alter the lower or can you switch between 9mm and .223 easily?

either way I handled a storm ones and I liked it. I didn't realize it used 92fs or px4 mags, I thought I remember seeing all calibers had the same pussy ass 10 rounders, which I assumed were unique to gun. the gun would be epic gay fail and aids but after some reading it looks like I'm wrong.

also didn't know 20 round mags were available for the beretta 92 or PX4. so thats cool.

I'm undecided on the 92FS or PX4 mag version. They both cost the same, have the same capacity, and new mags cost the same from CDNN. I'm kind of leaning towards the 92FS version simply because there are more used mags out there from military/govt surplus. :hsd:

Edit: The 20rd mags will work in the 92FS and PX4 handguns but they will stick out below the grip.

A buddy has a Rock River upper and mag block and he can switch between .223 and 9mm in under a minute. It's just a machined piece of aluminum that fits in the magwell, his came with an allen wrench I think. It comes out and goes in really easy without modifying your lower.

While the Hi-Point is the better choice pricewise I didn't like the way it handled. Heavy as all hell. I think Beretta is a much better manufacturer and the CX4 is worth the extra coin.

...just wish it was $200 less like it was a month ago. :hsd:

Never shot one, but the Kel-Tec feels cheap and manages to be uglier than the Hi-Point at the same time. Felt like I was close to breaking it just unfolding the thing.

Agreed. It just looks ass-ugly and flimsy.

Called my local FFL to see what he can get a CX4 for. Hopefully it's sub-600. :x:
