As a Texas resident I am told that Florida is the place to get my CC licenses through. This will give me the most reciprocity states that border Texas.

    Has anyone done this?

People at this one gun store in BR keep telling me to get a FL license because you can get 5 years for $117 instead of 4 years for $100 for an LA license.

Check packing.org to see if you actually get more reciprocity and FL's webpage.

Just get a TX license, FL only has like 2-3 more states and at the rate we are gaining reciprocity we'll have that beat in the next year. We have reciprocity with every state that we border now. Also IIRC if you are a TX resident you can't carry here with a non-resident permit from another state.

As of November 30 we have reciprocity with NM, packing.org hasn't updated the map for some reason but if you scroll to the bottom of the TX page it is listed there.
