I recently bought muscle milk like a week ago and have been using it ever since...the guy at GNC said it was supposed produce more lean muscle and burn fat. I'm trying to cut right now(been doin it for like 2 weeks), but i'm new to this fitness thing too, so my basic routine is running like 2-3 miles one day or tennis and then lifting mediocre weights with high reps the next day.

I'm kinda big but i'm not fat because i usually play lots of tennis, but i want to get "toned". Am I doing this right or not? I don't know because i don't think you're supposed to see any noticeable results until like a month. And should i continue using muscle milk?

Sorry if im asking retarded questions

start lifting heavier weights, do a moderate amount of reps and sets. use just pure whey protein, muscle milk has a lot of sugar and calories that you dont need if you're actually trying to lose weight..

muscle milk isnt all that great for cutting, you got owned by a gnc salesman

go to www.bulknutrition.com and get yourself some Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey to use instead.

i'd say just to get some plain ON whey & a tub of malto or dex or both to add into the pre/post workout shake's.

you want to limit total calories, keep protein around 1g/lb of bodyweight, get your EFA's. Once protein and efa's reqs are met, it makes virtually no difference what you use to fill the rest of the calories when talking only about fat loss. Whole wheats, good fats, etc are good for health benefits, satiety, etc
