Are you supposed to cut the clay bar into pieces so you can use it several times? Do I throw the used part away after I have used it?

I get the 200 gram claybars from Clearkote and cut them in half. I can get about 15-20 cars per car, less if I am removing heavy paint overspray. You can cut a regular sized bar in half if you want.

The instructions on mine just say to roll it into a ball and flatten it out again to reuse it and that you can use it like 5-6 times for a regular size one.

Some of the smaller ones, like Clay Magic can be used out of the box. The ClearKote one is big, it's best to cut it in two.

You don't need to cut it.
