cutting out carbs

    if on a high protein and very low fat and sugar diet will cutting out carbs make a big impact on weight loss?

    high protein is good, but ultimately the calories you consume being below your maintenance level would be more important than low carbs, that way you can actually lose weight.

    The ideal energy source comes from fat. Excessive Protein can be processed as carbohydrates.

    ok thx. but wouldnt no carbs mean that my body eats away my fat for energy?

    its not that easy

    you are eating below your maintenance levels in calories right?

    If you are doing no carbs, and low fat, your body is just going to turn protein into carbohydrates. Might as well just eat carbs then. A real low carb diet is going to have at least 35-40% of total cals coming from fat.

    no. Sugar is a type of carbs, but all carbs are not sugar.
