MMA Cutting and making weight crew

    weighed in @ 148 lbs after 3 hours at the gym.

    I need to go down to 145 lbs by next saturday 30th for a tourney.

    Give me some tips on diet.

    3 lbs, i can float that in my sleep. all you gotta do is cut your water intake, 3lbs is easy as shit.

    So you're weighing in DAY OF right? thats always hardest. never strip water weight if you have to weigh in the day of.

    so start now by dieting.

    breakfast- oats and a banana
    lunch- chicken salad with nuts (cashews,almonds) spinach, broccoli,
    dinner- same as lunch

    follow this with some 45-1hr of cardio everyday till 2 days before the fight.

    then on the thursday(if i fight saturday) I sip water, but only enough to feel good

    after the weigh ins drink some pedilyte, but slowly...takes me 30 mins to finish it.

    then slowly start eating nuts/carbs

    and drink more water.

    this is what i've been doing and works for me, i never feel worn out from the cut.

    when it's only 3lbs, that isn't really cutting. all you do is limit water/food intake intake the day before, have a light workout and sweat it out. day of, weigh in and drink plenty of pedialyte and get in some carbs in the am. 3 lbs is not draining at all

    Dude, it's 3 pounds, he just needs to quit eating or drinking water a few hours before bed the night before and keep his water intake to just a sip when he wakes up. Weigh in then ball out.

    You could always try a redline before working out as a fat burner. Be sure to only start out with half though. It's a good alternative to actual fat burners saves you from all the extra BS in other energy drinks.

    what about using an EC Stack? Increases heart rate and body heat so you lose water weight really fast. Also curbs your appetite better than anything else and you don't lose much muscle mass

    Do not drink water for a good 20 hours before weigh INS and you should be ok

    and you're giving him shitty advice for someone cutting 3 pounds, all he has to do is not eat or drink the night before and he'll be fine.

    I walk around at 200lbs and cut to 185lbs for fights. I usually go down to less than 50g of carbs a day (25 of which are in the first meal) about 4 days before the weigh-ins. With cardio, that drops me down to 190lbs and then I get in the sauna for the other 5.
