When you guys are cutting how much cardio do you usually do?

I've been running for 35-45 min 4-5 times a week for the past 3 weeks. I'm definately seeing improvement, lost ~8 lbs, and strength is pretty much the same (actually bench went up).

As i get closer to my goal is this too much cardio?

The amount of cardio you should do is really a trial and error type thing. Some people can get completely zipped without doing cardio. For me, I lose fat best when I do some sort of high intensity cardio (basketball or what have you) twice a week for an hour or so.

Stick with what's working until it doesn't work any more.

I agree with the info above. If I tune my diet good enough, I can cut pretty safely doing only 30-35 minutes of cardio for two days a week. The rest of my training days are still weights. It's mostly diet.

For me i still stick with lifting 3 times a week and then just add in 2 days of cardio 30-40 minutes.

my diet is pretty clean as it is now. but i might think about increasing calories (cleanly) and continuing cardio until im losing ~ 2lbs a week.
It might be more difficult but healthier.

I agree with this statement.. I have been doing HIIT but just stoped and doing light cardio 3xs a week to lean down. The last thing you want to do is lose to much muscle while trying to thin down.

yea but then you hear some bodybuilders/trainers say that 45-60 min a day in your THR is optimal.

Most bodybuffers only do that in the later stages of contest prep.

i think that the way it is described by most people is bs (ie, those gay charts at the gym).

but i do think that everyone has a specific training zone that will burn fat at the fastest rate.

Yes that for Pre-show trust me the don't do that during bulking. They start to lean down 8-14 weeks out so they are doing a hour of treadmill work. But honestly if your lifting and training hard to gain muscle to much cardio will eat up your gains. You have to understand lifting weights burns more cals then carido for the same amount of time...

well i was talking about cutting, not bulking.

my question was more directed towards whether or not im going to see significant muscle loss while cutting with this cardio routine and a maintained diet.

Everyone is different, there is no way to really answer that question. You kind of have to try various things and track your progress... i.e. determine how much of the total weight you have lost is fat. Experiment and find out how your body responds best.

I lost my 80 pounds by doing 25 minutes of HIIT 3 times per week for my cardio.
