Cut first or bulk first.

    I am starting to get into lifting a lot. I am Currently 5' 9" and about 150. i have a little fat on me so i was wondering if it would make a difference if i was to cut first and then start the bulking process or if i should just start bulking now. My main goals are to get bigger and eventually get cut. i was wondering if cutting first or bulking first would make a difference in my muscle mass gains. thanks

    keep in mind that fat promotes test production naturally. Having a low BF will make it that more difficult to gain muscle. At 5'9 150 you should hit 190 before going anywhere in the diet world.

    Bulk first.
    Thinking you're fat when you're 150 is the attitude of the weakminded.

    i dont think i *am fat* i was just saying that i have a little fat on me, im not a skinny mofo.

    and i gotta let my cam charge for a few minutes before pics

    we dont' need pictures to know that you need to bulk. How bad can you be at 150 standing 5'9...thats 1 inch and 70lbs lighter than me.


    Just make sure that you're concentrating hard enough on achieving your goals.

    Bulk first. As filmy said, a healthy amount of fat helps your hormone levels, and once you put some muscle on, your muscles will burn calories simply by existing.
