I've got a friend that really wants a Powerbook. But, hes VERY alergic to Titanium. I mean he like passes out whenever hes get near it for over 10 minutes.

He broke his back (active kid, but a bit fucked up...) and they put in Titanium bolts into him, and he was mad alergic, would just pass out untill they discovered the problem and opperated on him.'

Yeah, so. Didnt see it anywhere on apple, so i wanted to ask here.

I think they are still made of aluminum but may have titanium parts in them but I could very well be wrong.

to my knowledge, they stopped making titanium cases because they were drastically interferring with wifi reception on the airport express.

but that could be a rumor :dunno:

Titanium is hypo-allergenic. How is he allergic to it?

The current PBs are aluminum, but he may want to call Apple to find out for sure.

And I have never heard of someone being allergic to a metal.

people have skin reactions and whatnot, but I haven't heard of something as severe as this guy is describing :eek4: not that I don't believe him

curiously, is he allergic to commercially-pure titanium specifically, or any grade? how about other metals in the same column of the periodic table? (serious question)
