I didn't curl inside the rack, but I simply took the bar off it, and worked just outside. I decided to do it because I wanted to use 5lb increments, I like the thinner grip, and I didn't want to use the ez curl bar. I could've taken a bar off one of the benches...but decided to use the squat rack since it's least likely to be used. Not a big deal imo. If some guy wanted to use the rack, I'll simply move out of the way...and he can grab a bar some where else. Perhaps the bar in the power rack behind me.

I also like to do this:

I do DLs in front of same squat rack. There really isn't a better place to do it. And there are no other bars to grab from.

edit: add rows to it as well.

There's no open area or random unused bar to do those kinds of excercies in.

Exactly. That's why I did my curls in the squat rack today.

You are doing nothing wrong. I often do curls on the rack too but its not the squat "cage". I think a majority of people that complain about this believe people are in the cage and not on teh rack.

If anyone at the gym wanted to complain or attempted to correct me while I was doing it, I'd laugh in their face.

if i was therei would have personally grabbed you by the neck and put you to sleep with my many many grappling moves. You'd be down and out in under 5 seconds, i guarantee that bro. Good thing i'm behind this computer or else this would have bbeen your last post on this forum, and your life.

I try not to curl in the rack, I'll grab a BB off a flat bench and do it there.

no point going outside a squat rack in front or behind it cuz no one wants you to look at their ass or thewm look at yours during lifts.
