Curious, how many of yall vary your squat depth?

    Any of you guys vary your squat depth anywhere from full depth to half rom in a set? I was talking to a very seasoned lifter with excellent leg development and he says he'll start the set with a half squat then next rep go to 3/4 then next go full depth and just repeat the cycle, seems like an interesting way to shock the legs.

    I never changed the depth during a single work out. I'll vary high box, low box, atg squats, parallel squats, front, and zerchers for core work.

    zerchers for core work? might have to excuse me as I've never tried them but it just looks like an exercise that makes you look like a hard ass

    zerchers feel much better on my body as a whole compared to back and front squats

    because you have to be a hard ass to do them.

    i'll pretty much always hit a little below parallel. i do mess around with parshal reps sometimes, though. for example cutting the top of the front squat out of the movement so there is nearly constant tension on the muscles throughout the set.

    Used to do that. Especially on the first few sets.
    Awhile ago was also doing the opposite where I'll finish with half and partial squats at the end of the set.

    I prefer to use a defibrillator to shock my legs. that's just me though bro.
