There's been a lot of threads lately regarding nipple piercings, and it's something I've been thinking about myself. I've done a bit of searching and reading up, and though piercings are nothing new to me I'm curious if anyone has any insight as to possible rejection or experiences of nipple piercings.

Currently I've got the Nape of my neck, 2 in my tongue, both eye brows, etc... I've had 0 rejections, and I like to think when it comes to piercings I've been a pretty damn good healer. I take care of each one and make sure while they're new/healing to soak with warm distilled water and sea salt for 5-10 minutes at least once a day.

Now, my big question is what are the biggest concerns or things to worry about when it comes to nipple piercings? Obviously it's a "high traffic" area putting shirts on and what not, so it's very possible to irritate them. But I'm careful enough putting shirts on with my eye brows and neck that I don't think that would be a huge problem.

I'm curious though when it comes to healing and rejection, can I look at this as I did my nape? Just be careful and soak it and keep it clean and all should be well? I don't necessarilly want to label this as a surface piercing because I don't really see it as that, but can anyone share their experiences with their own nipple piercings and their healing or problems with them?

My nape was done with in my opinion the better method, 2 holes (Not straight through) and 2 different taper sizes to seperate my layers of skin, then my surface bar had 2 straight holes for the rises. I think that method greatly promoted the healing process. But the closest I can see the nipples being since they wouldn't use surface bars would be my eye brows (micro-barbells) or tongue (Normal barbells). But since it's a slightly different place than those... Again, experiences with the healing process or problems? Insight? Anything?

Thanks in advance guys, I really appreciate hearing others opinions and experiences!

    :wiggle:

(I have an appointment with my piercer later this month to check on my nape, and I'll definitely be discussing this with him as well.)

Update: Got them done tonight!! Went with vertical because it looks the best imo. (Thanks Lauren!)

If you've successfully healed your nape then you should be fine healing your nipples

My nipple piercings were ridiculously easy to "heal"(they're not quite done, but getting close). I'd say a nape piercing is 11ty billion times harder to successfully heal

    Thanks to both of you!

The nape was is actually in my opinion easier in terms of my healing experience than I had ever thought it would be. Never swollen, never got any crust or anything of that nature. Never a single pain from it or anything. And that's including me wearing collared shirts every couple of days to work.

Definitely going to follow up with the nipples though and I really hope I have just as great of an experience with them.

My nipples are doing great. I just got them done this past saturday. I'm keeping them clean, I clean them several times a day. Theonly real pain or problems I had were the day I got them done, they just hurt really bad. Now I'm fine.

Just don't take them out unless you're sure. I took mine out and had to repierce them and scar tissue is a fucking bitch. We had a little trouble redoing them BUT they are hot as hell and I am happy to have them back. 1st round healed like a charm and round 2 is looking pretty sweet.

    thanks.

i wasnt paying attention during the first one, and it didnt hurt at all. the second one was built up more, and stung quite a bit. theres no aching or anything now :)

im not big on jewlery... i never change anything, pretty much keeping to the same basic stuff. ive just always prefered the vert ones, even though they are somewhat more limiting :hsd:
