just saw this, never used it but I'll probably give it a try
What exactly is crossover?
so only on october 28th? we need a mass PM to the mac shack tomorrow.
I'll check back in the morning.
search for my mac crew thread from a while back
crossover kicks ass seriously.... i have the old version, but havent upgraded due to cost. this rules!
sure it doesnt work well for all apps, but for stuff i need its awesome!
will check out in a few hours
its up now.....registered and downloaded
Just did it myself
anyone have experience how the crossover games is?
I've seen people play HL2, and that was a few years ago.
I am attempting to install UT2004. it isn't supported but we'll see how it does.
do you think one of the newer versions of need for speed would play?
playing UT2004 was AWFUL. Game ran with decent frame rate but besides that, nasty. If you hit the edge of the screen with your mouse, that is it, you can't turn in that direction anymore. my mouse completely locked up after a minute or so. You can't fullscreen (you still see the dock (on top of the game) and the menu bar at the top). When i played in windowed mode the game out right crashed after 30 seconds.
Like Pro Street? On what computer? On my Santa Rosa MBP w/ 8600GT I was barely getting above 30FPS on a 4 year old game. Although that was @ 1920x1059 (ya that is right, because of the menu bar at the top).
Looks like the site is down already.
and the site is down.
i can imagine they are getting hit pretty damn hard. Good thing I got mine
They have several trials up right now, which one to download?
i downloaded both But I am having troubles registering. I'll wait a day to try again.
ya like pro street or something....its on the new MB 2.4......guess i will just have to try it
AFAIK crossover only supports DX8, so it isn't going to look as pretty if you were to boot into windows.S
Awesome, good find
