Crossfit?

    Sorry if this has been posted before, but I recently started doing some of the crossfit exercises and I'm wondering if anyone here has done the same and what kind of results you have gotten from them? I'm looking for more brute strength than anything else. Being toned is nice, but I'm not looking to be HUGE.

    i just read a white paper in the Encyclopedia of Sports medicine that talked about how size and strength are in deed correlated, however nervous system becomes vital in utilizing that strength. You could be huge and not have the nervous system to use it all (ie - brainpower/experience/confidence/repetitions/natural to where it's more than natural to use it)

    When I mean huge, I meant like a huge body builder huge... I think I was trying to get the wrong point across. I just want to be strong thats all, I'm not looking to be a body builder.

    When they say nervous system they're talking about motor unit recruitment, rate coding, synchronization of MUs, intermuscular coordination, golgi tendon reflex, etc.

    You really have to watch it, getting huge usally happens over night and is irreversable. :noes:

    ceaze - I take it those aren't just technical terms that cover what I said and that I was rather far off... gracias I have some more reading to do
