MMA Crossfit last night

    We did our monthly Crossfit total. Brandon is a beast.

    This lift was 575lbs. :mamoru: at taping the weight on because it was sticking over the end of the bar.

    His total was 1245lbs :bowdown:(Deadlift, Shoulder Press, Back Squat).

    His cardio is pretty decent too for a big guy.

    My total was 645lbs :hs:(315 deadlift, 205 back squat, and 125 shoulder press).

    sohp or push? I'm not sure what this means :hs: I'm still new to lifting weights.

    in the overhead press, do you dip down and use leg drive before pressing it overhead? do you explode and reset your stance? is it strictly shoulders and you don't move your legs or get leg drive at all?

    sohp = strict overhead press
    push press = leg dip/drive
    jerk = full explosion and reset stance in a variety of manners

    some do both. My Crossfit academy does strict standing presses.

    some use legs to help

    It's SOHP for the crossfit total, but we do both of those varlets in different WODs(work out of the day).
