yeah i went to Hamster's crossfit gym 2 times last week and it was fucking rad. Great atmosphere too, really competitive/supportive, definitely juicy, and several good looking females deadlifting, push pressing, and box jumping

"The enemies in the eyes of the CrossFit crowd are “Stairmaster chumps” (who log long, drowsy hours on the machines but huff and puff on actual stairs) and myopic “specialists” — athletes or exercisers who neglect versatility in order to refine one or two skills"

wow. what douchebaggery. its funny because with the mantra "Your workout is our warm up," i could say the same to them with "Your 1RM is my warmup" :mamoru:

yeah and thats why crossfitters are not real good at anything. they are too general.

and yeah its so bad for competitive athletes to focus on whats important instead of seeing how fast they can do 200 muscle ups superset iwth 800 frog jumps superset with 900 horse shoes superset with 875 knucke pushups superset with 700 star jumps

dont get me wrong it's great for the everyday person looking to be in better shape but not good for anybody serious about training already or specfiically someone in a sport of some kind.

dawt. specialist vs. generalist. what irks me is the elitist tone in the article. everyone trains for their own reasons, but to insult the discipline and dedication of others who have different goals is extremely ignorant. ESPECIALLY when the offending party consists of trendy workout regimens that seem to be a random assortment of exercises.

well all the big trends have a lot of condescending shit to their articles. it makes it sound like the greatest thing on earth to the random person (their target) while insulting those who actually train for something (athletes, competitors of anything).

i also think that while crossfit nets amazing physiques for girls, it doesn't so much for the guys.. there is little heavy resistance training of any kind so there is no real time to gain real muscle mass. but then again a lot of guys dont give a shit about muscle mass sadly.

well looking at the calisthenic elements of their routines, females are already at a disadvantage. i doubt even serious female atheltes would be able to work up to the stated regimen.
