Anyone here use or work with people that use the cross guard? I just started using it today and have been subbing people like mad. I'm definately going to start using it more often.

The cross guard that I'm talking about is like the one pedepano shows in his instructional that is on the tracker. A few of the blacks and browns I train with use it every once and awhile.

feet on hips. left hand grabs his left sleeve OR right hand grabs his right sleeve

I would highly reccomend checking out the instructional. I'll see if I can upload it to youtube or something but I have a feeling that it is too big.

Now that I think about it I think bj even used it against gsp, but I don't really remember

there's a new guy in one of my classes who's a natural, like less than a month of training and he passes my guard like it's not even there... so I've taken to using feet on hips + an underhook to keep him at bay :dunno: never knew it was called cross guard

As soon as someone tells me how to upload pieces I'll do it for you. If you really want to know just upload it off the torrent.

so it's just when someone is trying to Ground and Pound you, and you put your feet on their hips, keeping their lower half away, and then having an underhook in, pulling their upper half close to your body?

    pics???

Never heard that called "cross guard". Sounds to me to just be a middle ground between open and butterfly.
