1st one would have been awesome if there was like a motorcycle going away from the shot.
I like #1.
1 is good
2 is boring
lets see the first one in color.
i like 1 a lot
i'll post the original when i get home.
funny thing is it was just a single shot aimed blindly from the tarmac.
I took like 5 shots of the second picture trying to capture something, but i guess i failed.
oddly, i find #2 calming...did you use a filter?
I think the second one would've been a little better if a piece of the trunk on the right side of the pic.
no, it was all in pp. it was a preset in lightroom i found online somewhere.
just wondering if it would have looked different had you used a uv filter.
To me, that tells me where you were standing and what you were taking a picture of. For all we know, you pointed the camera out of a low flying plane rather than standing on a ledge w/ a tree next to you. I try to shoot where people see what I see. Contrast your depth w/ something close by so the viewer can differentiate the distance.
I guess the main thing i'm worried about is whether if i'm heading in the right directions as trying to capture something with my images.
I'm not sure if thats even possible to tell from the few pics i've posted on here, but i don't want to be completely off on my own and not be able to express something for the viewers in my images.
I'll post another pic i have of the whole tree edited with the same preset and see if that makes any difference.
Thanks for the advice I will keep that in mind.
i haven't even thought of investing in filters yet...i can hardly find time to get out and shoot from my busy schedule. maybe when i understand composition better i'll venture into filters..
always have filters on your lenses. A lot easier and cheaper to replace a scratched filter than a lens. UV ones are usually cheap and useful. Then you have your Circular polarizers, warming filters, etc.
oh..i guess i misunderstood what Sympathy was asking...yes i do have the UV filter on there, but i haven't used any of the other filters you've mentioned.
1 is kickass
I like 1. Great details on the roadway asphalt.
Can you post the original 2 pre PP? The composition is fine, I just am not digging the warm/haze thing going on. I am big on vivid colors in landscapes. Personal preference.
1st one is very sexy
Really digging #2
here are the original files...just resized in irfanview
second one would be better if you cropped away the bottom half
uhh no not really
