Hello all, I just finally got approved to post, and of course this is the first place I came to. I was somewhat known for posting way too many pics on the last forum I was on, where I complained till they made a photo subforum :)

I've been taking pics for about four years now, and had my wonderful D70 since november. I can't afford much good glass, but I get by with what I have. With all of that out of the way, have a look!

I still want the black and white leaf pic in a frame but bigger than you are offering.

The first one has great texture, nice soft light and good contrast. the 2nd one is my fav, just a nice job of complimentry colors and a simple composition

  4. The second one is great has a sense of emotional content. Kind of someone's favorite time of the year. The B/W looks to staged.

Beautiful. I really enjoy all of them except for number 4- with the flagpole. Something about that one just doesn't click, but the rest of them are just wonderfully abstract and artistic.

the train track one was a bit busy but I love the composition and use of colors in all the other ones. Did you do a lot of post processing or are these original compositions?

99.999 percent of that is original composition. Beyond cloning out an annoying stuff (an overly dark thorn that reflected in the tree on the orange leaf one) and occasionally bumping the contrast or cropping an image, I don't do anything else. To be honest, I suck at photoshop :(

There's one more with lots and lots of color. I know it's not tack-sharp, I had to hand-hold it or I wasn't gonna get the shot in time. Sun rises fast :(

Fair enough, though these are second rate to those IMO.

That one has seen it's own fair bit of post processing, but only a desat and hues.

    Fun with snacks :p

Yes, that's a real set of wing prints from where an owl got a mouse off the top of the snow.

Just because I think that one's pretty nifty.

A little abstract, but it's a gull's wing that interrupted my shot of the pigeon flying and messed with the autofocus, but worked out fine.

    Sunset on ice, literally :p

A lot of people have complained about the lack of contrastyness, but I like it personally. Bleakness of winter beating out fall.

My shot at product photography, I thought it was pretty sexy. Took 7 shots and composited them the best I know how in photoshop elements 2.

I got 3rd place in a photo contest with this one, the subject is the dude in the boat of course.

Lastly, a black and white photo with SUBSTANTIAL (no kidding) manipulation.

    Hurrah for film ones!

    There, happy now? lol.

Ok, hope you guys are reading this. I've been petitioned to hang some stuff in a semi-local gallery in hopes of selling it. Problem being I don't know which ones I wish to put there! They have a lot of wildlife photos, and not many abstract (which I seem to be so fluent in). They also have a lot of paintings, it's a smallish town gallery that sees it's fair bit of traffic. Of the ones posted here (my best, obviously) and the one below without watermark, which would you hang in the gallery?

Those last 2 are on slides, which makes them a bigger pain but not by much.
